Hispanic Tavern Applicants Win Their License
Today, the City of Chicago has issued a liquor license to the Yanqui family for their family business, Yanqui Leon, LLC. It was their dream to open up a tavern with a 4:00 AM license on Armitage and Pulaski. The City of Chicago had denied a license, although the family qualified in every way, except for the objections of the local police commander. Fortunately, the Alderman and the neighbors were in favor of the license being issued. The legal team at Komie and Associates recovered the police reports showing the area to not be a high-crime area, thus overcoming the objections to the issuance of the license. Mr. Yanqui said he is “pleased” that the city has recognized his family will run a family-owned business, and serve members of the community. He is looking forward to opening his doors next week.
